4moms Bassinet Vs Halo Review: Best One For Your Baby

4moms Bassinet Vs Halo Review: Best One For Your Baby [2022]

The market for baby products is filled with a wide range of heart-warming items.

Even looking at the tiny, cute socks or colorful newborn rattle can make any mom’s heart melt.

Shopping for a newborn’s essentials is a fun and vibrant experience. But how can you select one of each item when all of them look enticing?

If you have been in this spot before, know that you aren’t alone. Like you, we have all encountered this problem before.

As a mom who wants the best for my baby, I go through a list of questions before checking out the cart. My purchase of a bassinet wasn’t a simple task.

Questions flood my brain in waves, all for the sake of finding the ideal bassinet for my baby.

❓ Should I think about the weight of the bassinet?
❓ Does it come with a folding mechanism?
❓ Will I need to buy a separate mattress?
❓ Is there any safety feature to look for?

Ah! The endless list of questions was stressful enough. That is why I have compiled this guide for you.

Hopefully, it will help young parents as they break free from a similar situation. So, you can invest more time focusing on other important matters.

Leave the bassinet debate to me. My research on the best bassinets arrives at 2 contenders.

First, the 4moms mamaRoo Sleep Bassinet. Second, is the well-known Halo Swivel Sleeper.

I took in various factors including features, accessories, quality, and mattress to arrive at the two finalists. How do they compare though?

The following guide is my 4moms Bassinet Vs Halo Review. I found the bassinet that helps squeeze every second of sleep for my baby, and so can you.

4mom mamaRoo Sleep Bassinet Review

Like most new parents, I tend to outlook product dimensions when making a purchase. But size does matter when it comes to a bassinet.

Newborns love to stretch, so don’t restrict them from this luxury!

Thankfully, with its 24Lx 29W x 39H measurement, the 4mom bassinet offers ample space for newborns to do their tiny dances.

4mom mamaRoo Sleep Bassinet: Design and Assembly

I feel secure knowing that the bassinet is sturdy enough to support my newborn. The bassinet accommodates newborns up to 6 months of age or 25 pounds.

Like the Halo Swivel Sleeper, it comes with see-through, and meshed sides for air circulation. I love this feature because I get to watch my baby! Aww.

The mattress that comes with it is reasonably comfortable. It’s firm like how any baby mattress should be.

Remember, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a firm mattress with less than 1.5-inch thickness for newborns. Doing so can reduce the risk of suffocation.

Storage is another factor to consider when purchasing a bassinet.

If you are an organized freak like me, you may need to purchase a separate bassinet storage basket.

Newborns use a little bit of this and that. Every little thing needs a home.

When it comes to assembly, this bassinet is a clear winner. I did not require the help of any tool, or a husband to do so.

But, after assembly, the product can’t be disabled, unlike the HALOs. This makes cleaning a chore.

4mom mamaRoo Sleep Bassinet: Sound and Motion Features

The 4moms mamaRoo and Halo BassiNest lines are both smart bassinets. That means they come with extra jazz to help your baby relax.

The 4moms mamaRoo has five motion settings to calm your baby. These include 5 cool motions; car ride, kangaroo, tree swing, rock-a-bye, and wave.

Another feature that I love about the 4moms bassinet is the 4 white noise options. All the advanced features can be synced over Bluetooth with your smartphone.

Getting tired of that ocean white noise sound? Easy. Change it with a press of a button.

The downside is, that the connectivity doesn’t always work. Some days, I simply use the buttons on the bassinet itself.

HALO BassiNest Swivel Sleeper Review

Hello, HALO! (Pun intended 😅)

HALO is a household name when it comes to the smart bassinet. The first thing that appeals to me about the BassiNest series is this: co-sleeper.

Other bassinets offer similar features, but HALO just sticks out. It has a patent beside a wall with adjustable height as needed.

It happens to be my favorite thing about the HALO BassiNest.

That feature alone makes it easier to lift a baby out of the bassinet. For me, this is a huge plus for moms after C-sections or breastfeeding moms.

Thank you, HALO for thinking about us moms!

HALO BassiNest Swivel Sleeper: Design and Assembly

The bassinet come in the dimension of 37.6L x 18.12Wx 10.83H inches. Like the 4moms MamaRoo, it has a breathable mesh bassinet wall.

I find this an important thing to look for in a bassinet. The mesh wall helps your baby to breathe better during sleep.

In terms of design, I love the quality of this product. It looks fantastic, feels sturdy, and fits most beds.

The feet slide right under my bed, bringing the bassinet right up to the edge of the bed.

Moms with extra knick-knacks would enjoy the additional storage pocket of this bassinet.

I can feel the thought behind the product’s invention and it just screams QUALITY!

When it comes to assembly, I have to give an extra point to the 4mom mamaRoo.

The Halo BassiNest requires a screwdriver to assemble. You will have to assemble the base and the top part separately.

The good news, however, they can be disassembled for cleaning.

HALO BassiNest Swivel Sleeper: Sound and Motion Features

Unlike the 4moms mamaRoo, the HALO BassiNest lines lack motion or speed settings.

To make up for it, the more advanced Premier and Luxe version offers a soothing vibration to your baby.

Still, the popular feature of the series which is the 360-degree swiveling base is something special. I love that it allows me to bring my baby closer while in bed.

For parents who expect built-in sounds with the HALO BassiNests, pay close attention.

The most affordable model, the BassiNest 3.0 does not have this functionality. You can pay extra for the Premier and Luxe models for the built-in sound feature.

Your baby would love the calming white noises but only if it is within your price range

4moms Bassinet Vs Halo Review: Final Verdict

So, which one of the two did I decide to buy?

I opted for the 4moms mamaRoo. The different motion and speed settings are appealing to me.

But, there is always a potential to reuse it again in the future.

Yes, I find the price reasonable for the added features of my preferred bassinet. Whether you choose one or the other, you can’t go wrong.

They are both reliable bassinets for your little ones.
