Sense2snooze Vs Snoo Review: Best One For Your Baby [2024]
As a mother, nothing is more important to me than my baby’s safety and comfort. Well, actually getting a good night’s sleep runs a close second most days.
And, one of the best ways to ensure all of the above is a high-quality bassinet for my little angel that uses modern technology to both detect and soothe.
So, for our latest addition to the family, we tested the Sense2snooze Vs Snoo to see which bassinet was the best, and here are the results.
I want to share them with you so that you can make an informed choice for your little bundle of joy.
Let’s start with the Sense2Snooze Bassinet complete with Cry Detection Technology by Graco.
Sense2Snooze Bassinet by Graco
Cry Detection
This baby bassinet uses some pretty amazing new technology for detecting and automatically responding to your baby’s waking up and crying so that it can help soothe him/her right back to sleep.
How does it work? It uses a special little microphone that’s not only built-in but designed to sense your baby crying.
To me, it meant that I didn’t have to sleep with my ears always listening for that telltale crying that signaled me that I had to get up and rock her back to sleep.
I finally realized that I wasn’t really sleeping at all!
Soothing Response
The Sense2Snooze Bassinet responds to your baby’s cries by adjusting its settings automatically and gently soothing your little one so he/she will go right back to sleep.
It has two-speed vibration, soothing motion from head-to-toe at three different speeds, ten soothing sounds, ten sleepy songs, and basic white noise.
So, how does it do it? This bassinet uses technology to cycle through all of its settings to find the right combination for calming your baby.
Added Features
This bassinet also offers settings that are specially designed for allowing you to save the soothing combinations that are your baby’s favorite.
And, the dimmable lighting on the parental controls will make it easier to adjust the settings whether it’s daytime or nighttime.
Bassinet Construction
This Graco bassinet has airy mesh sides for both visibility and breathability.
It also offers a reversible canopy for shielding your baby from light that could awaken him/her.
In addition, it includes integrated storage for keeping diapers, baby wipes, and other essentials handy.
And, two integrated wheels make wheeling your baby around the room or around the house easy.
Care & Cleaning
The removable mattress cover is machine washable, so check its label for complete details on proper cleaning.
For cleaning the bassinet frame, just use soap and warm water. Never use any kind of detergent or bleach on it though.
So, all you need to do is spot clean, wipe clean, or machine washes the bassinet’s mattress cover for easy upkeep.
Being removable makes it much easier to throw in the washer when it gets really dirty, so it can stay fresh as a daisy for your baby.
Size
The bassinet’s overall dimensions are 19 inches by 26 inches by 41 inches.
It weighs 23.7 pounds. Its size doesn’t take up much room, which is good if you want the baby to sleep in your bedroom with you and space is limited.
The mattress measures 29 inches by 17.5 inches and twin packs of extra waterproof mattress pads are also available.
Price
The Sense2Snooze Bassinet sells on Amazon for $319.97, which we found to be a competitive price for a name-brand bassinet that does so much and has such advanced technology.
But, is it as good as the Snoo at a much higher price? After all, there is quite a big difference between the pricing of these two. Well, keep reading to find out.
Traveling With Baby
Many parents need to travel with their babies, so a bassinet that can be disassembled and taken on the road is a bonus.
All there is to the process is removing one screw so that the bassinet collapses down to two nearly flat pieces plus the canopy, the legs, and two U-shaped bars that are responsible for rocking the sleeping portion.
So, we found it to be fairly portable when we went to visit our little one’s grandparents so that they could see her for the first time ever.
It actually collapsed down and went back up a bit easier than we had anticipated, which was good since we were pretty tired when we arrived.
And, so was Emma. She took one look at her doting Grandma and Grandpa and immediately started crying. What an introduction!
But, once we put her down to sleep in her bassinet, the rocking motion and soothing sounds sent her right off to dreamland.
The next day, after a good night’s sleep for all, we had a great time reintroducing her to her grandparents and this time, she actually smiled at them!
All in all, our visit was a rousing success thanks to our choice of the Sense2Snooze Bassinet.

SNOO Smart Sleeper Baby Bassinet by Happiest Baby
I decided to splurge on the award-winning SNOO bedside crib in spite of the higher price because frankly, I liked the way it looked.
The wood trim around the bottom gives it a slick modern look and the simple lines suited my decor better than most bassinets.
And, with its soothing white noise and automatic rocking motions, it’s a great choice for babies from newborns to six months old.
I also liked the fact that it was created by a pediatrician.
His name is Dr. Harvey Karp and not only is he a world-renowned child development specialist but also a best-selling author.
Knowing that he created this bassinet gave me more confidence in its safety.
Cry Detection
The SNOO automatically responds to your baby’s crying and even detects fussing.
No more sleepless nights lying awake listening to hear your baby’s cries because this smart bassinet does that for you.
My baby really loves her SNOO and it’s so easy to put her down to sleep at night and for naps in the afternoon.
I really can’t stand the “crying it out” style of sleep training, so this has been especially helpful for me.
This meant that I had to rock them to sleep but when I did, I’d often fall asleep before them because I was so tired.
But now, it’s so easy to put my tired baby to sleep without having to go through a tedious rocking routine.
Soothing Response
The Snoo self-rocking bassinet will respond with an automatic rocking motion and soothing white noise that gets gradually stronger to calm the crying.
This means more sleep for you. In fact, the SNOO Sleeper could boost your overall sleep by at least one or two hours every night, so you end up getting more sleep than other smart baby cribs can provide.
It will soothe your little one with the same gentle rocking motion and sound that he or she loved while still in the womb.
When newborns first start sleeping in the SNOO, it will usually take them about three or four days to begin more sleep and less fussing.
Babies who are older than six weeks may take a bit longer and will typically go through an adjustment period of five to seven days in total.
It’s best to use your SNOO for both nighttime and naps as well right from the beginning if possible.
Roll-Prevention
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends back-sleeping for babies as its #1 safe sleep guideline.
SNOO prevents rolling over, which could be risky for your baby.
In fact, it’s the only bassinet, bed, or sleeper that can keep your baby safely on his/her back with its three sleep-sack swaddles (included).
Additional Features
SNOO comes complete with everything necessary for immediate use, including:
- One SNOO Bed
- One mattress
- Four legs
- Three SNOO Sacks (Organic Cotton) (Small: 5-12 pounds, Medium: 12-18 pounds., Large: 18-26 pounds)
- One Fitted Sheet (Organic Cotton)
- One Power Adapter
- Power Cable Holder
- One Owner’s Manual.
Customizable
SNOO’s smart app starts by logging in all of your little one’s sleep and even naps. This allows you to easily adjust cry sensitivity, motion, and sound.
It also includes two special modes.
They include preemie mode as well as a weaning option that helps your baby to make the best transition from bassinet to crib.
Bassinet Construction
The Snoo bassinet has breathable cotton mesh walls that promote healthy air flow while also making it easier to keep an eye on your baby.
Care & Cleaning
The mesh isn’t removable (for safety reasons) but spot cleaning is recommended for any spills on the mesh.
Just use a damp cloth, some warm water, and a gentle baby-safe cleanser.
If you want a deeper clean, you could use a steam cleaner, however, you have to keep it a fairly good distance away for preventing water from getting inside the SNOO platform.
When it comes to cleaning the foam mattress, spot cleaning is suggested using just some warm water and mild soap.
It’s also important to ensure it’s completely dry before reusing it.
Size
The bassinet’s overall dimensions are 35.83 inches by 18.9 inches by 32.28 inches and it weighs 38 pounds.
The maximum weight recommendation for the SNOO is 25 pounds.
Price
The SNOO price is $1,695.00, which could be a bit pricey for some new parents.
But, you get what you pay for, and clearly, this must be a superior product since it has won so many awards, including a Clio Award, the Cribsie Award, and an International Design Excellence Award, just to name a few.
Additional pricing tip: Try using the baby registry completion discount on Amazon when you buy the SNOO to save money.
No-Risk Trial
In the event that you’re not 100 percent satisfied, you have the option of returning your SNOO within 30 days of receiving it and getting a full refund with FREE return shipping.
I never even considered returning mine but it’s good to know that you have that option.
Pros & Cons
Like all other products on the market today, this bassinet has some pros and cons, including:
Pros:
- Natural Sleep Training
- Fully-integrated mobile app with helpful settings
- Easy 30-minute setup by just downloading the app and following the instructions
- Easy-to-clean
- 24/7 personal helper
- Helpful app features
Cons:
- Higher-than-average price
- Some assembly required
- Doesn’t have wheels
- Not well-suited for travel
Final Verdict
Although the Sense2Snooze by Graco is more portable and easier to travel with, it’s still a toss-up as to which of these baby bassinets is the best.
That being said, I do prefer the look and features of the SNOO but feel that it’s too high-priced for most new parents, especially in these troubled times when many have suffered a loss of income and more.
So, all in all, I feel that Graco makes the best product of this type and would buy it again.
With that being said, I would buy the SNOO.
Both products are good at soothing fussy babies but, in the final analysis, the Graco Sense2Snooze actually does it better.
